The phrase “Death is not an end, a new beginning” is exactly for this game.

The Binding of Isaac allows you to play completely different games in completely different dungeons every time you play the game. While we strengthen ourselves in brutal dungeons close to hell, which traumatizes us, we try to get to the bottom of the dungeons. As a crying naked child, all we can do is cry a lot!

Even though I have 50 hours of playing time, it still amazes me to be able to encounter new items, bosses and different dungeons in every game. I can say that our chance of playing the same game again with randomly generated dungeons and almost infinite content is less than our chance to go to the moon by bike. And as I approach the final dungeons, I pause for a moment and remember playing as a traumatized, naked kid who destroys poop monsters and various assorted creatures crying over them because his crazy mother tried to kill him. So this is a normal, normal story in all of our lives

To talk a little bit technically, The binding of Isaac is a Roge-like game. If I need to briefly describe the Roge-like genre, which I will explain in more detail in the new series of articles that I will start. We’re trying to get from point A to point B. It is a type of game where we make each game different from the other with the items we find in the dungeons or rooms during this journey. The binding of Isaac understood the Roge-like genre very well and became a valuable game of the genre. He has 2 games in 2011 and 2014. The old game “The Binding of Isaac” from 2011, which I like the drawing style more, although there is less content in the game, I played more. And “The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth”, released in 2014, which makes its content close to infinity, changing its hand-drawn visuals to a high-quality pixel view, but I couldn’t beat our mother even once, despite playing for close to 15 hours.

Although there are two games, the explanation and interpretation I will make will be valid for both, since they are the same game except for the difference in content. If you were to ask me which one I should buy and play, I can say 2014 “The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth” because it contains more items and more enemies.

We start the game in a room that shows us the actions we can do, and we move forward by entering the surrounding rooms. Each stage includes: a shop where we can buy various items, a reward room that gives us different features, and a boss battle room that allows us to move on to the next stage. Each Stage is generated randomly, and its content changes each time (you may have noticed, since the game’s main point is to use this randomness anyway). At every stage of the game, we encounter more and more difficult enemies. With the number of enemies in the room and the shrinking of the rooms, it can be very difficult to pass the last rooms of the game. Of course, while the rooms are getting harder and harder, the value and power of the gifts given to us increases at the same rate Whether you want to get laser eyes, unicorn horns, yellow tears (:D? ), bloody tears, a shield or a deal to become a demon, you can come across anything at any time, take care of yourself. In the game, there are items that change us passively, items that we can use as special powers, items that we can use once, bombs, keys and lives that can be collected. There are many items, but they do not always help us, so you may have to think twice before buying an item. As in every roge-like game within the game, it is a bit difficult to fill our lives. The lives we find on the ground, which we can find after defeating every boss or in chests. We can regenerate our health thanks to some disposable cards or some special powers.

One of the things that keeps the game fun is that our character’s appearance is constantly changing. Our appearance changes according to the items and features we receive. With the combo items we make, very different looks can emerge. Sometimes a robot with one eye laser. Sometimes you are a naked boy with an ugly face and a giant head, sometimes you lose your body, and sometimes you become a black devil. The character illustration of the game may seem a bit strange at first, but you get used to it as you play the game.

So what happens after we beat our last mother by cleaning all the rooms in the game? Very good question, the game gives us a new character and we start again from the beginning. Yes, it might sound silly, but you don’t say that when you play the game. They have increased the replayability by keeping the duration of the game short so that the game can be played over and over again while it is being made. You can finish a game very slowly in 20–30 minutes, each game is different from each other, so the game can play itself forever.

If I have to say my last words, “The binden of Isaac” is a great game that allows you to linger while you wait for work to end at the office, chat with your friends over Discord, or if you want to pass the time in a very boring class at school.
